Security
We take the security and integrity of your information very seriously. As part of our ongoing efforts to ensure the safety of your credit card and personal information nothing is stored on local servers. Instead we leave all transactions to our payment gateway that uses the highest industry standard for safe transferral of information (256 bit encryption). In addition we routinely undergo security scans to ensure we are PCI-DSS compliant. These scans check for known vulnerabilities and common security holes in server configurations. These scans are performed by a Norwegian security compliance provider.
Why is there no padlock in my browser window?
Our website does not collect any personal information about you. When you choose to book any of our services or activities you are transferred to our payment gateway. In the payment window all information is encrypted and you will indeed see a padlock in your browser.
Payment and Security
The payment is processed at the time of booking. A booking that is incomplete will be cancelled and we kindly ask you to repeat the booking process. Our payment gateway is responsible for the actual transaction, and for ensuring that the correct amount is charged to your card. All personal data and credit card information is handled on an encrypted site (payment window) and are not stored by us locally. All information provided by you is stored securely and deleted after the specified time in accordance with European legislation (GDPR). We do not share your information with anyone else. Only North Cape Tours will have access to your name and contact details. This may be used so we can inform you of any changes or cancellations to your booking.
Safe and sound
All your data will be safe with us and our payment agency, a globally certified and secure payment gateway. This ensures the highest payment card security, providing the best barriers to protect credit card and personal information.
How will we use the information about you?
We do not pass on your personal information to others, except when you order something through our website. Then your payment information is handled by our payment agency. We will never share your information for marketing purposes with other companies. In processing your order, we may send your details to, and also use information from credit reference agencies and fraud prevention agencies.
Access to your information and correction
You have the right to request a copy of the information that we hold about you. If you would like a copy of some or all of your personal information, please send an email to us. You may ask us to correct or remove information you think is inaccurate. Please read more under the menu Privacy.
