Explore the arctic on a tour through fishing villages, getting a chance to see and hold a live king crab. The tour includes a meal of fresh king crab, served with bread, lemon, mayonnaise and mineral water.

We pick you up in the town of Honningsvåg, before we travel by coach across our island, making view stops along the way. We will visit a nearby village, going to the harbour with its fishing boats. We make a stroll around the village, exploring the local way of life.

We make a sightseeing by coach in the town of Honningsvåg, visiting a local art gallery and the church, which is the oldest building on the island. We will have a look at the town hall, the school and kinder garden, the shopping street and the service docks for the fishing industry. We will bring you up close to the everyday life of an arctic village.

We also visit the king crabs where you get a live presentation of their life and history in the middle of stunning arctic scenery. ​After the presentation you will enjoy a meal of fresh king crab, served with bread, lemon, mayonnaise and mineral water. Those who want can buy beer or wine with their meal.

PRIVATE TOUR: By private we mean that the minibus and our services are at your private disposal. If you are travelling alone or with your spouse, family, friends or colleagues – and you want a more personalized experience with an increased level of flexibility – then this is the tour for you. This tour is for up to 6 persons, but you may add more participants if you like in the next booking step. Unlike our public tour, other people cannot sign up to fill the remaining seats. You pay for all the seats in the minibus (or big bus) regardless of the size of your group.

PUBLIC TOUR: This tour is for everyone. There has to be minimum 4 participants for the tour to take place. As an individual traveler you may still book this excursion. In the event there are not enough participants we will contact you ahead of time and issue a refund for your booking.

* The tour at 11:15 corresponds with the coastal express Hurtigruten. The duration of the tour at 11:15 is 3 hours which leads to a shorter visit in the fishing village. Notes: You have access to a warm coach at all times. We will make a stroll through a fishing village. Please wear clothes and footwear suited to the weather conditions.
